  CUCUMBER IN VINEGAR

In a bowl, arrange layers of thinly sliced onions, green pepper rings, and cucumber; sprinkle layers with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cover with wine or flay red vinegar (herg, garlic, etc) diluted with an equal quantity of cold water. refrigerate until very cold. Serve in vinegar.
